DAMAGES WORSE THAN APPEARED
Update: September 21 Earthquake29 September, 2009 – At least 2,800 families in eastern Bhutan were still spending the nights outside in shelters and in sheds as of yesterday evening, with their homes having either crumbled or become unsafe to live in, according to dzongkhag officials.
ARROW KILLS ONE
28 September, 2009 – A 43-year old farmer died in the Mongar referral hospital on September 22 from an arrow that pierced his head during an archery match. Medical officials said the arrow had hit the right side of his head and he died in the hospital on the same day.
