January 27: A woman in Wangduephodrang has been sentenced to nine years in prison for drug peddling. She was also involved in trading tobacco products. The woman is from Kazhi Geog.

The verdict was passed by the Wangdue district court today. Also in connection to the same case, the court sentenced four men to three months imprisonment. All were from Kazhi Geog.

According to the verdict the four men can pay compensation in lieu of the imprisonment.
