Former Finance Minister Wangdi Norbu graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Economics (Honors) in 1976 followed by advanced studies in financial policy and programs in several other countries.
Prior to 2008, he was a Member, Vice-Chairman, Chairman and Governor of 34 different organization, corporation, and International Financial Institutions, and negotiated several large project financing and aid mobilizations with donor countries. As Auditor General, Finance Secretary and Finance Minister, he revamped financial institutions in the kingdom.
The vast experience he has will enable the DPT and the country to address most of the economic issues currently facing the country.
Lhatu joined Bhutan Agro Industries as Head of Marketing & Sales where he was instrumental in creating the “Royal Bhutan” brand for its products.
He also served as Head of Customer Services in Bhutan Telecom and for UNDP as Finance Officer. In the UN System, he specialized in operations and procurement, and received an out-of –turn promotion to Operations Manager.
His dream for Khaling-Wamrong constituency is to make it an organic farming hub. He also hopes to harness non-wood forest products for domestic consumption as well as export to other countries.

The former National Assembly member from Thrimshing-Kangpara, Choeki Wangmo, has a Bachelors degree in Sociology with an expertise in computer applications and management.
A simple, down to earth woman, she seeks to improve the lives of the people in her constituency by helping farmers market their produce, promoting organic farming, and working to reduce human-wildlife conflicts. She says that she has gained extra knowledge and experience, which will help her discharge her duties with greater confidence.
“Today, I am more prepared and a better eexperienced person to represent the people of two gewogs,” the young emerging woman leader says.

Jigme Wangchuk, 29, from Jonla village in Radhi geog, secured his Bachelor’s in Commerce from St. Joseph’s College, North Point, Darjeeling. After graduation, he worked in the private sector, including construction, tourism, and private transport.
He believes that Radhi-Sagteng constituency has a great deal of potential for growth. With Radhi and Phongmey gewogs already known as the “rice bowl of the east”, and emerging opportunities for Sagteng and Merak to enjoy further progress, he seeks to capitalize on livestock development and tourism to help his constituents enjoy the fruits of further economic progress in the kingdom.

Thinley Palden Dorji graduated with a Business Administration from Belgium and began his career at a local bank, later taking over as the Managing Director of RSA Pvt. Ltd. He was also elected the Vice President of Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). He looked after industrial growth at the BCCI, and is a keen supporter of the private sector. He later became honorary Vice-President of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
His other strengths include his technical advisory experience in FDI and international banking standards and practices. He seeks to promote Kanglung-Samkhar constituency as an education hub in the nation, to promote Yonphula airport as a gateway to tourism in the east, and to ensure that it becomes a key link in the chain for organic products from the east.
